CCH, Ramathibodi Hospital, and Siriraj Hospital of Thai cohost the "Prenatal and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis" online seminar (session 1)
Prenatal genetic diagnosis (PND) has developed rapidly in recent years due to remarkable advances in molecular technologies, such as array CGH, whole-exome sequencing (WES), etc., and is widely applied in the medical industry. Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University of Thailand cohost the two online seminars on "Prenatal and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis." Session 1 is held on May 16th. Mr. Wei-Ming Hsu, Acting Representative of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, Dr. Duangrurdee Wattanasirichaigoon, Professor of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand, and Dr. Nina Kao, CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH were invited to give opening remarks. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Meng-Shin Shiao, Assistant Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand. Three speakers including Dr. Gwo-Chin Ma, Deputy-Director of Genomic Medicine Department of CCH, Dr. Chayada Tangshewinsirikul, Assistant Professor of Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand, and Dr. Tuangsit Wataganara, Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Thailand shared the medical practices, counseling and research developments of PND as well as preimplantation genetic diagnosis and screening (PGD/PGS). Around 40 participants have joined this webinar.
