Calendar events-2022

  • On January 6th, distinguished guests led by Dr. Chin-Chou Chen from International Business Group Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., imedtac, and Unison Healthcare Group, visited YCH to exchange innovative healthcare management and further cooperation.
  • On January 25th, Dr. Nina, the CEO, and Ms. Tiffany, the project manager of Overseas Medical Mission Center, attended the "2022 Medical Devices Clinical Trial, Registration and Marketing Consultation Orientation" and "Digital Medical Devices, Clinical Trial, Registration and Marketing Consultation Orientation. " Dr. Nina also shared the experience in Thai medical markets promotion.
  • On Feb. 10th, the Division of Nursing, MOPH in Thailand, hosted the “Customer-Centric Services: Selected Overseas Experience” workshop. Dr. Chang Shu-chen, the Nursing Director of CCH, was invited to join this young nurse development program workshop and share the experience in “The Best Practice - Nursing Innovations to Make Life Better.“ Over 100 Thailand young nurses participant in this workshop.
  • On February 17th, Dr. Nina, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, the team from Chunghwa Telecom International Business Department, and the Faculties from Walailak University (WU) and affiliated Hospital (WUH), Thailand, co-joined the online meeting to discuss the cooperation in setting up an intelligent healthcare demo-sites at WHU of Thailand. The international medical student exchange and training program between CCH and WU was also discussed.
  • On February 25th, CCH signed MOUs of international patient referral services in Asia with PT Prima Sarana Jasa (Global Excel) and PT AA International Indonesia (Across Asia Assist).
  • On March 1st, CCH signed a MOU with the Chunghwa Telecom (Thailand) to promote the market of smart healthcare and medical personnel training.
  • On March 9th, CCH, CHT, and imedtech cohost the "How to manage surgical information efficiently in the OR?" online forum. The webinar focused on using the AIoT technology to integrate operating room information to improve surgical efficiency. Around 40 participants have joined this webinar.
  • On March 17th, the CHT-Thai delegation led by Mr. Arthur Yang, President of CHT-Thai Co., Ltd, called on Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, the President of WU, for further discussion and visiting WU hospital. Mr. Arthur Yang is also on behalf of CCH to sponsor one hundred thousand Thai baht for Walailak university's 30th-anniversary international conference WRC2022 held on March 28th to 29th.
  • On March 18th, the MOU Signing Ceremony for Specialist Training between Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) was held on 18th March. Through specialist training, academic cooperation, and medical education, it is hoped that CCH and UPNG will jointly cultivate medical professionals in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and improve their medical expertise, health care quality, and patient safety.
  • On April 27th, CCH, CHT, and imedtech cohost the online Seminar on "How to improve medication safety in hospitals and pharmacies?". The webinar shared that automated dispensing cabinets combined with AIoT technology assist hospitals and pharmacies in managing medicines safely and effectively, improving work efficiency, and achieving the goals for medication safety management such as information safety, medicine safety, etc. Around 40 participants have joined this webinar.
  • On May 7th, CCH recalled the Society Committee of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan to donate 100 000 US dollars to the Reformed Church in Hungary (RCH)-Bethesda Children's Hospital (BCH) to support their voluntary medical services for the Ukrainian refugees on the border. CCH's charity donation with God's love brought more medical resources and encouraged BCH medical volunteers to dedicate service to Ukrainian.
  • On May 16th, CCH, Ramathibodi Hospital, and Siriraj Hospital in Thailand co-hosted the first session of Prenatal and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Online Seminar.
  • On May 25th, CCH was interviewed by FTV Yi Yan Tang on topic, Medical and Healthcare Regional Partnership on New Southbound Policy (NSP) 2.0, to share the impact of Digital Health on the Medical and Healthcare Regional Partnership on NSP and CCH under the pandemic.
  • On May 30th, CCH, Ramathibodi Hospital, and Siriraj Hospital in Thailand co-hosted the second session of Prenatal and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Online Seminar.
  • On May 31st, CCH, imedtac, and Chunghwa Telecom held a press conference of Smart Healthcare demo sites at Thonburi Hospital in Thailand.
  • On June 24th, CCH, imedtac, and Chunghwa Telecom co-hosted a seminar, The Future of Smart Hospital, in Thailand. Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of the Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, was invited to give an opening remark online. There were nearly 120 Thai healthcare professionals joined the seminar. After that, visitation to Thonburi Hospital is allowed if registered for arranging it beforehand.
  • On July 1st, CCH signed a MOU with National Cheng Kung University Hospital to promote the medical industries cooperation between Taiwan and NSP countries.
  • On July 8th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) co-organized the “Innovative Technology on Cancer Precision Screening” workshop, which was sponsored by the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry (IDB) of Economic Affairs. At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Guan-Min Lai, the Director of Hematology & Oncology Department, CCH, shared the experiences of CCH adopting innovative precision medicine in cancer, followed by five excellent precision medicine companies presenting the feature of their products. The five cancer precision screening device companies, including AmCad BioMed Corporation, VITAE Biomedical Co., Ltd., Good Future BioMed. Inc., JelloX Biotech Inc., and Molsentech Co., Ltd. Through the presentation and on-site demonstration, over 70 participants interacted and exchanged experiences for each other.
  • On July 12th, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand (TECO), and CCH co-hosted the online health awareness seminar. We invited Ms. Chi-Chuan Peng, the owner of LinBerg Co. Ltd., and Dr. Shun-Chang Chang of the Chinese Medicine Department of CCH, as speakers to share the topics of “how to choose a good and healthy oil” and “how to use Chinese medicine to boost and improve immunity.”
  • On July 18th, Mr. Jarvis Lin, CTO, and Mr. Chi-Yu Lin, PhD, Technical Consultant of JelloX Biotech Inc. to visit Changhua Christian Hospital and discussed for further cooperation.
  • On July 25th, 17 students from the National Defense Medical Center (NDMC) of ShiNepal, a student volunteer group, visited CCH to learn about its international cooperation of CCH.
  • On July 26th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH was invited as a speaker in the conference of The Reality of Aid Network (RoA) to share the action and the development of the donor countries in Northeast Asia and South Pacific during the pandemic.
  • On July 27th, CCH and Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) co-hosted the “Taiwan-PNG Online Seminar-Sharing the Experiences of Orthopedic and Cardiovascular Surgery.” In this online seminar, we invited Dr. Chen-Pu Hsieh, Director of Orthopedic Department, CCH, Dr. Ying-Cheng Chen, Director of Cardiovascular Surgery Department, CCH, Dr. Richard Kulau, and Dr. Elizabeth Alok, General Surgeon, PGH, PNG, as speakers, sharing the topic of treatment, complications, and challenges of orthopedic and cardiovascular surgery in Taiwan and Papua New Guinea. Two doctors from PMGH also shared their training reflection in CCH.
  • On August 4th, Overseas Medical Mission Center, CCH was invited to join “Taiwan Assistive Technology for Life Expo 2022” hosted by The Research Center on ICF and Assistive Technology, National Yang-Ming University (RICFAT), and Chan Chao International Co., Ltd.. Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, shared the CCH experiences in promoting the medical industry chain in Thai at the Smart Healthcare and Business Matching Seminar. After the seminar, CCH joined the “Taiwan Alliance of Technology Industries in Smart Senior Living and Innovative Long-term Care”(TATISI) and signed the MOU with 14 hospitals/organizations to promote the long-term care industry chain between New Southbound countries and Taiwan.
  • On August 9th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, on behalf of Superintendent Dr. Chen, was invited to join the the-third-anniversary-opening tea party of the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
  • On August 26th, Taiwan Healthcare Quality Association, Taiwan Patient Safety Culture Club, Joint Commission of Taiwan, Taiwan Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Taiwan Union of Nurses Association (TUNA), Nursing Division of Ministry of Public Health of Thailand and CCH co-hosted the 2022 Smart Technology on Precision Medication International Conference in both live and online ways.
  • On September 6th, Taiwan Changhua Christian Hospital held the "2022 Taiwan- Thailand Smart Healthcare Conference " in Bangkok. In addition to arranging keynote speeches, 15 Taiwanese smart medical device manufacturers were invited to demonstrate their products during the conference. The event attracted more than 250 Thai medical and health professionals to attend. It is the largest intelligent medical conference in Thailand after the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • On September 12th, CCH and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Indonesia (UMY) signed a MOU to train the nursing students and promote academic exchanges.
  • On September 13th, Overseas Medical Mission Center, CCH was invited to join “The New Southbound Policy Medical Industry Cooperation Forum 2022” hosted by Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI). Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, shared the CCH experiences in promoting the medical industry chain in Thailand and the challenges and opportunities to explore the Thai medical devices market.
  • On September 21st, CCH cooperated with GMISS of NTU, Papua New Guinea Trade Office in Taiwan, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in PNG to donate one 40-ft container to the Southern Highlands Provincial Health Authority in PNG. The donation materials include epidemic prevention materials, hospital trolleys, patient transfer beds, medical carts, delivery tables, etc., to build capacity and improve the quality of hospital healthcare service.
  • On September 30th, CCH signed a MOU, which is about smart healthcare cooperation and medical personnel training, with Thonburi Hospital.
  • On October 7th, according to the New Southbound Policy, CCH assisted in hosting the 2022 Yushan Forum: Asian Dialogue for Innovation and Progress and was invited to join the forum.
  • On October 11th, Dr. Wen-Fu Wang, the Director of the Dementia Center of CCH, was invited by the Christian Conference of Asia(CCA) to give a keynote speech online. Dr. Wang shared the topic of community churches in Taiwan playing an essential role in caring for and preventing elderly dementia.
  • On October 20th, Changhua Christian Hospital was commissioned by the Health Promotion Administration (HPA) of MOHW to host the 2022 Quitline in Smoking Cessation for Youth Online International Conference on Oct. 20th. Renowned experts, such as Ms. Susann Koalick, the Chair of Global Network for Tobacco Free Healthcare Services (GNTH), Dr. Jintana Yunibhand, the Director of Thailand National Quitline, Dr. Kelvin Man-ping Wang, the Director of HKU Youth Quitline, and Dr. Nan-Ying Chiu, the Director of Taiwan National Quitline are invited to share experiences and best practices of tobacco prevention and control among adolescents, and Quitline in smoking cessation and the effectiveness for youth in Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Through sharing and discussion with international speakers can strengthen the efficiency and impact of Quitline for young smokers. The conference attracted nearly 200 participants, joined online, actively interacted, and ended successfully.
  • On October 24th and 25th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of the Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, on behalf of Taiwan AID participated in the 2022 Regional Conference on Promoting CSO Effectiveness through Trust Building. Asia-Pacific CSOs gather to discuss enabling environment, fostering trust, Triple Nexus.
  • On October 26th, CCH and The Research Center on ICF and Assistive Technology, National Yang-Ming University (RICFAT) co-hosted “The development and action of Taiwan smart care industries online forum IV”— the analysis and chances of Medical and Healthcare market in Thailand. Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center was invited as a speaker to share the experiences of Thai medical and healthcare cooperation strategies and industries cooperation of CCH.
  • On October 30th, the AI data platform demo site which CCH and Chunghwa Telecom planed and set together in Walailak University in the south of Thailand was enabled.
  • On October 30th and 31st, CCH assisted in hosting 2022 Global Health and Welfare Forum in Taiwan and joined online.
  • From November 10th to 12th, Dr. Nina Kao participated in the 26th Asian Christian Hospital Association Convention and served as a moderator of 1st keynote speech session.
  • On November 14th, Dr. Nina Kao participated in the “2022 New Southbound Countries Healthcare for Overseas Compatriot Forum,” held by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW).
  • On November 15thCCH and Taiwan AID co-hosted the series NGO international development forum: The Nourishing Love Story of the Youth NGO Leaders.
  • On November 28thCCH participated 2022 New Southbound Heath Center and Seven Countries, Ten Centers Experts Forum hosted by National Taiwan University Hospital.
  • On November 30th to December 4thThai Healthcare Professionals Attended 2022 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan hosted by CCH.
  • On December 2ndCCH hosted the "2022 International Conference on Innovative Long-term Care and In-home Care" in both live and online way.
  • On Decamber 7thCCH, TCM Doctor Association Thailand, and Huachiew TCM Hospital co-hosted the Online Seminar on Traditional Chinese Medicine and trained the Thai doctors who can speak Mandarin to increase their Chinese Medicine terms about traumatology.
  • On November 23rd, December 7th and 9thCCH & UMY co-hosted the nursing department online training courses.
