Calendar events-2021

  • On Feb 23rd, Overseas Medical Mission Center assisted the Dementia and Long-term Care Innovative e-Hospital of CCH to organize the Community Supporting Dementia and Long-term Care Program's achievement sharing session. Through integrated the hospital, church, and community dementia care system, the day-care centers share successful experiences and promote the community's unique culture.
  • On March 30th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, joined the online meeting with Prof. Thapanee Thammetar, Director of Thailand Cyber University(TCU) project, Prof. Anuchai Theeraroungchaisri, and Prof. Jintavee Khlaisang Deputy Director of TCU project, Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation(MHESI), to discuss the cooperation for CCH online courses upload onto the Thai MOOC learning platform.
  • On March 31st, Dr. Nina the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, was invited to share the experience of CCH international medical cooperation at the “Taiwan International Medical Cooperation and Foreign Aid Seminar”. The seminar is hosted by central Taiwan office of MOFA and China Medical University.
  • On April 9th, Dr. Nina, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, attended Taiwan Global Healthcare Association (TGHA) general assembly meeting. During the meeting Dr. Matthew Y.C. Lin, the Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of US Department of Health and Human Services was invited to share the global health and humanitarian in US. After the new board member election, Dr. Wui-Chiang Lee of Taipei Veterans General Hospital was elected as the new President of TGHA. Dr. Mu-Kuan Chen, the Superintendent of CCH was elected as one of the new board Directors of TGHA, and Dr. Nina, was one of the Executive Supervisors.
  • On April 10th, Dr. Nina, the CEO and Ms. Wan-Ting Tsai, the Project Manager of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, attended “The New Book Presentation of Global Health Model Trophy” held by Taiwan Global Healthcare Association (TGHA). Dr. Wen-Ta Chiu, the Former President of TGHA was invited to give opening remarks, Dr. Wui-Chiang Lee, the new President of TGHA invites winners to shared their achievements. CCH awarded of 1st and 4th Global Health Model Trophy and Dr. Nina shared her international medical cooperation experiences.
  • Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) co-hosted a forum on “Smart Healthcare Innovative Values - the Expert’s View” on April 28th. The organizer also invited the medical device and technology industry to share the smart healthcare market and challenges. Dr. Mu-Kuan Chen, the Superintendent of CCH, was invited to present the trends and advantages of innovative technology integrated into the hospital system to service the patients and how CCH cooperates with the technology industry to explore the overseas markets.
  • On May 5th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, Mr. Beren Hsieh, the Sales Manager of imedtac and Ms. Sarah Wu, President of CHT International, Chairman of CHT Thailand & Chunghwa SEA Holdings joined the online meeting with Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, Thailand to discuss the cooperation for smart health in Thailand, such as smart ward demo-site, Location as a Service, medical device/imaging integration, etc.
  • On May 18th, Overseas Medical Center held a telemedicine consultation and invited the cardiovascular specialty of CCH to diagnose and give the recommendation to the patient in St. Lucia who has the side effect after AZ vaccination.
  • On May 19th, Dr. Nina Kao, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH and also the Consultant of Taiwan Hospital Association, was invited to join the Asian Hospital Federation(AHF) Board of Governor’s Online Meeting.
  • On June 17th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), Acer Healthcare Inc., and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) co-hosted the “Medical AI Online Seminar for DR.” In this seminar, we invited Dr. Yi-Ting Hsieh, Clinical Assistant Professor of Department of Ophthalmology, NTUH; Dr. Shih-Te Tu, Physician of Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism, CCH, and Dr. Amy Hsiao, Manager of Product Strategy and Management, Acer Healthcare Inc. as speakers. The three speakers share the significant results of applying the VeriSee DR software in-clinic diagnosis DR, detecting and treating abnormalities promptly, and avoiding blindness.
  • On July 9th, in cooperation with GMISS of NTU and AMATA Corporation of Thailand, Changhua Christian Hospital donated a 40-ft container including epidemic prevention materials and medical equipment to the cooperative hospitals in Laos.
  • On July 16th, Staff from Overseas Medical Mission Center attended the Online Seminar on“5G Telemedical Trend and Application Symposium, ” co-hosted by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The organizers invited the medical devices and technology industries to share global telemedicine trends and AI technology applications.
  • On July 23th, Staff from Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH attended the “ Southeast Asian Market Development Online Seminar” co-hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and NSP Project Office, CIER. The organizers invited the speaker from Bionime Biotechnology Company to share experiences on Southeast Asian market development.
  • On July 30th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) co-hosted the “Taiwan & PNG Online Seminar on Diabetes Care.” In this seminar, we invited Dr. Shih-Li Su, Attending Physician of Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in CCH, and Dr. Kenneth Sodeng, Medical Officer of Internal Medicine Division of PMGH, as speakers. The two speakers share the challenges and strategies about diabetes care before and after the pandemic COVID-19 in Taiwan and Papua New Guinea.
  • On August 5th, Dr. Wang Wen-Fu, Long-term Care Center and Dementia Center Director at Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), Dr. Nina Kao, CEO of Oversea Medical Mission Center, and Ns. Ya-Ming Chen, Division Chief of Long-term Care Center for Dementia Integrated-care and Innovative Service, joined an online conference hosted by the Christian Conference of Asia Regional Consultation. The conference’s main theme is ”Family Life and Family Values: Transitions from Tradition to Modernity.” Dr. Wang’s topic is “Health care for elderly and advanced medical care“ and shares the experience of how CCH works with the community and church to care for dementia elderly.
  • On August 10th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), aetherAI Co., Ltd., and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) co-hosted the “Medical Image AI Online Seminar- Artificial Intelligence in Digital Pathology- New Tools for Diagnosis.” In this seminar, we invited Dr. Chiao-Min Chen, Data Scientist of Artificial Intelligence Development Center, CCH, Dr. Han-Mo Chiu, Attending Physician of Division of Gastroenterology, NTUH, and Dr. Joe Yeh, Co-founder & CEO of aetherAI Co., Ltd. as speakers.
  • On August 10th, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) co-hosted the “Taiwan & PNG Online Seminar on Kidney Stone Management.” In this seminar, we invited Dr. Pai-Fu Wang, Chief of the Uro-Oncology Center, Dr. Pao-Hwa, Chen, attending physician of Urology in CCH, and Dr. Hasola Joseph Damien, Consultant General Surgeon of PMGH, as speakers. These speakers share kidney stone management treatment, complications, and challenges in Taiwan and Papua New Guinea. Around 80 participants from Taiwan and Papua New Guinea registered to join. After the seminar, Dr. Damien received his urologist advanced training certificate, presented by Dr. Wang, Chief of the Uro-Oncology Center of CCH. The urological medical materials are donated to Dr. Damien for his further application at PMGH. Additionally, the Bionime Company donated 500 glucometer kits to PMGH to improve diabetes patient detection.
  • On August 24th, 2021, We sincerely acknowledged that the Thai-Taiwan Business Association (TTBA), led by Ms.Hsiu-Min Kuo, the current President, donated TaiDoc FORA Antigen test kits to CCH sisterhood hospitals, including Thasala Hospital, Hua-Chiew Hospital, Overbrook Hospital, and McCormick Hospital. Each hospital received 1000 set test kits to combat the pandemic.
  • On August 27th, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Taiwan Patient Safety Culture Club (TPSCC) co-hosted the “International Conference on Smart Healthcare Technology and Patient Safety” complete success.
  • On September 2nd-3rd, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital joined together with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre to organize the 2021 Pandemic Prevention Technology and Smart Healthcare Online Business Matching Seminar. Two main sessions include "Innovative Smart Solutions for Healthcare" and "Healthcare New Normal in Covid-19".
  • On September 11th, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital, Taiwan Union of Nurses Association, Taiwan Association of Nursing Education, Nursing Division, Office of the Permanent Secretary of MOPH in Thailand, Walailak University of Thailand, Thailand Cyber University co-hosted "The Impact and Response of the Medical Professional Education in the Post-pandemic Era International Online Conference" complete success.
  • On September 17th, the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) are following the health concerns issues of Taiwanese businessmen in Thailand to co-host the online health awareness seminar.
  • On September 23rd, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), Health & Welfare New Southbound Policy Project Office (NSPO), and National Cheng Kung University Hospital (NCKUH) co-hosted the “India and Thailand Medical Update 2021” Forum.
  • On September 29th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) co-organized the “2021 Medical AI Application Workshop”. The workshop is sponsored by the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry (IDB) of Economic Affairs. We invited Dr. Chin-Mei Li, Vice Director of Artificial Intelligence Development Center, CCH, to introduce CCH adopted AI in medical service experiences. Additionally, four outstanding medical AI companies were invited to present and demonstrate their innovative AI design in the healthcare system and service, including Biomdcare Corporation, Medimaging Integrated Solution Inc., TaiHao Medical Inc., and Heroic Faith Medical Science Co., Ltd.. Through the knowledge and best practices sharing, medical AI devices demonstration, participants learned from this activity. This event attracted nearly 50 medical staff from different departments of the hospital to join.

  • On November 12th, Papua New Guinea (PNG) locates in the south Pacific region and is a crucial friendly nation of Taiwan. Starting from 2006, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) carried out medical cooperation programs in PNG. CCH dispatched medical teams every year and organized the clinical training program for PNG medical personnel.   • On Nov. 15th, 2021, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Vision Thai co-hosted the Thai training program, invited Dr. Chang, Department of Chinese Medicine, CCH, to share the COVID-19 pandemic prevention, health care, and new trend and knowledge in Chinese medicine.   • From Nov. 15th to Dec. 7th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and School of Nursing of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta(UMY), Indonesia, co-host the online course. 7 speakers from CCH Nursing department shared Home Care, Community Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Hospice Home Care, Nursing Innovation, Nursing Education and Nursing Practice.   • On December 1st, the “Muslim Friendly Environment” certification was granted to Changhua Christian Hospital(CCH). CCH has become the only Muslim-friendly medical institution receiving the certificate in Changhua, Nantou, and Yunlin areas.
  • On December 21st, 2021, CCH was invited to join the Asia Taiwanese entrepreneur annual meeting co-hosted by Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and Asia Taiwanese Chambers Of Commerce(ASTCC); Dr. Nina and two staff attended to promote CCH health examination programs and Chinese medicine teas.
  • On Dec. 28th, 2021, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of MOPH in Thailand hosted “The 1st National Health Promotion and Elderly Care Innovation Conference“ and Dr. Wang Wen-Fu, the Director of Long-term Care and Dementia Center, CCH was invited as a panelist to share the experience in “Creating New Lifestyle for Ageing Populations: Adapting, Learning, and Living with COVID-19.“
