Calendar events-2014

  • Hon. Minute Alapati Taupo (Ambassador of Tuvalu) led the ambassadors delegation from South Pacific called on CCH on Jan. 4th.
  • The superintendent of Hong Ngoc Hospital, Vietnam, called on CCH on Jan. 6th.
  • Chao Tsung-Li (CEO of Shingmark Enterprise Co. Ltd), Vo Tan Son (Director of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University), and their delegations called on CCH on Jan 10th.
  • CCH cooperated with Department of Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of Kun Shan University to conduct children malnutrition improvement and safety water project in rural Vietnam from January 4th to January 11th.
  • Overseas Medical Mission Center, Institutional Review Board and Administration Center of Research and Education were co-hosting the 2013 year-end party on Jan. 22th evening. More than 80 staffs participated.
  • Taiwan Representative in Papua New Guinea, Mr. HU Chun-Pu, called on CCH on Feb. 7th and discussed the further cooperation project with Dr. Kuo Shou-Jen, the superintendent of CCH.  
  • Director of The Advisory Board International, Ms. Canny Kwok, called on CCH on Feb. 11th.
  • Senior Director of The Advisory Board International, Ms. Katrina Hartman, called on CCH on Feb. 15th to meet priority clinic departments and discuss the needs assessment.
  • CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, Dr. Nina was invited by Chang-An Junior High School to deliver a speech about international volunteers on Feb. 19th. 
  • Ms. Pen Saipang and Ms. Kunlayanee Kuntanapee from Overbrook Hospital of Thailand came to CCH for short-term advanced training (March 3rd ~ 29th) at Department of Nursing.
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to St. Lucia on April 26th for three weeks medical services.
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to St. Vincent on May 17th for three weeks medical services.
  • The Overseas Medical Mission Center CEO, Dr. Nina Kao Hsiao Ling, was interviewed and featured in the May issue of the Taiwan Review on Taiwanese NGO participation and international cooperation.
  • The Overseas Medical Mission Center CEO, Dr. Nina Kao Hsiao Ling, was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attend the 2014 InterAction Forum in Washington from June 9th to 15th, DC for international corporation experience.
  • Riots in Vietnam caused numerous injuries and damage when a Taiwanese factory was attacked. CCH deployed a unit to assist Taiwanese firms and provided medical aid for workers from DDK Group co. Ltd.
  • The Overseas Medical Mission Center CEO, Dr. Nina Kao Hsiao Ling, was invited by Zhi Shan Foundation to evaluate an educational project in Yunnan, China from June 30th to July 4th.
  • CCH will be assisting the Ministry of Health and Welfare with medical projects in Papau New Guinea.
  • The book ‘Common Food Illustrations in Eastern Caribbean Regions’ has been printed and will be distributed to the local people of St. Lucia for reference.
  • CCH will be hosting five medical personnel from Mongolia for advanced training (June 29th - July 12nd).
  • CCH will be hosting Red Cross medical personnel from Kyrgyzstan for advanced training (June 28th - July 12nd).
  • Three medical students from from King’s College London Dental Institute came to CCH for short-term advanced training at Department of Dentistry (Aug 1st - 8th).
  • A medical volunteer team led by Dr. Kao, Hsiao-Ling, the CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center, will be dispatched to Papua New Guinea on August 9th to conduct a eight-day medical services (Aug 9th - 16th).
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to St. Lucia on Aug 23rd for three weeks medical services.
  • Dr. Nina invited professionals from Kung-San University to evaluate the operation of ecosystem (Sept 17th - 20th).
  • Dr. Jim Abrahams, CEO of Angau Memorial General Hospital from Papua New Guinea came to CCH (Oct 15th - 22nd).
  • 7 high level managers of Ho Chi Minh City University Medical Center of Vietnam, came to CCH for short-team advanced training at Department of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Business, Information Technology and Administration etc. (Sept 28th - Oct 4th).
  • 6 nurses from Hong Ngoc General Hospital, Vietnam, came to CCH for short-term advanced training at Department of Nursing (Oct 24th - Jan 15th, 2015).
  • 4 medical personnel from Angau Memorial Hospital, Papua New Guinea, came to CCH for short-term advanced training at Department of Pathology, Medical Imaging and Nursing (Oct 25th - Nov 29th).
  • 4 medical personnel from St. Jude Hospital, St. Lucia, came to CCH for short-term advanced training at Department of Medical Imaging and Nursing (Oct 26th - Nov 29th).
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to St. Vincent on November 6th for three weeks medical services.
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to Myanmar on November 30th for eight days medical services.
  • Changhua Christian Hospital donated beds and medical equitment, delivered in a 40-feet container to Angau Memorial General Hospital of PNG on 3rd Dec.
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to Papua New Guinea on December 6th for eight days medical services.
  • A medical volunteer team dispatched to Thailand on December 17th for eight days medical services.
