Study Tour of Delegations from Thailand and Myanmar




From November 30th to December 4th in 2022, according to the New Southbound Policy, CCH invited nearly 40 Myanmar and Thai healthcare professionals, including the Nursing Division of the Ministry of Public Health, Walailak University Hospital, Thonburi Hospital, and Faculty of Medicine Ramathobodi Hospital, Mahidol University and medical devices agents and dealers of Thai to attend 2022 Healthcare+ Expo Taiwan and experience Taiwanese intelligent medical devices. The delegations also called on the Ministry of Health and Welfare and visited Yuanlin Christian Hospital. Moreover, the Nursing Division of MOPH also participated in the "2022 International Conference on Innovative Long-term Care and In-home Care" hosted by CCH to share the long-term care policies in Thailand. The short visit facilitated the healthcare and medical industries' cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand. (Click the Link)

Quitline in Smoking Cessation for Youth Online International Conference

From 2018 to 2022, Changhua Christian Hospital responded to the Thai medical industry cooperation program through in-bond and out-bound activities to facilitate the relations between Taiwan and Thailand. CCH cooperated comprehensively with Thailand, including medical personnel training, medical industries forum, health awareness seminars, signing MOU with hospitals, public and private sectors, smart healthcare conference and business matching, smart healthcare demo-site, etc.

On October 20th, 2022, Changhua Christian Hospital was commissioned by the Health Promotion Administration (HPA) of MOHW to host the 2022 Quitline in Smoking Cessation for Youth Online International Conference on Oct. 20th. Renowned experts, such as Ms. Susann Koalick, the Chair of Global Network for Tobacco Free Healthcare Services (GNTH), Dr. Jintana Yunibhand, the Director of Thailand National Quitline, Dr. Kelvin Man-ping Wang, the Director of HKU Youth Quitline, and Dr. Nan-Ying Chiu, the Director of Taiwan National Quitline are invited to share experiences and best practices of tobacco prevention and control among adolescents, and Quitline in smoking cessation and the effectiveness for youth in Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Through sharing and discussion with international speakers can strengthen the efficiency and impact of Quitline for young smokers. The conference attracted nearly 200 participants, joined online, actively interacted, and ended successfully.(Video1)(Video2)

Taiwan &Thailand Smart Healthcare Conference Attracted over 250 Thai Participants to Join

On October 11th, 2022, Dr. Wen-Fu Wang, the Director of the Dementia Center of CCH, was invited by the Christian Conference of Asia(CCA) to give a keynote speech online. Dr. Wang shared the topic of community churches in Taiwan playing an essential role in caring for and preventing elderly dementia.(Click the Link)

On September 9th, 2022, the application of intelligent technology to precision medicine has become a global trend. Innovative healthcare is one of the development priorities of Thailand 4.0 policy. Taiwan has plenty of experience in applying smart technology to healthcare, including precision and regeneration medicine. Therefore, Taiwan Changhua Christian Hospital held the "2022 Taiwan- Thailand Smart Healthcare Conference " in Bangkok on September 6th. In addition to arranging keynote speeches, 15 Taiwanese smart medical device manufacturers were invited to demonstrate their products during the conference. The event attracted more than 250 Thai medical and health professionals to attend. It is the largest intelligent medical conference in Thailand after the COVID-19 pandemic.(Click the Link)

2022 Medical Personnel Training for Port Moresby General Hospital(PMGH) of Papua New Guinea.(Click the Link)

On July 27th, 2022, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) co-hosted the “Taiwan-PNG Online Seminar-Sharing the Experiences of Orthopedic and Cardiovascular Surgery.”In this seminar, we invited Dr. Chen-Pu Hsieh, Director of Orthopedic Department, CCH, Dr. Ying-Cheng Chen, Director of Cardiovascular Surgery Department, CCH, Dr. Richard Kulau, and Dr. Elizabeth Alok, General Surgeon, PGH, PNG, as speakers. Four speakers shared the topic of treatment, complications, and challenges of orthopedic and cardiovascular surgery in Taiwan and Papua New Guinea. More than 60 participants from Taiwan and Papua New Guinea joined the seminar.Meanwhile, Dr. Richard and Dr. Elizabeth have finished their 3-month professional training at CCH and award their training certificate. CCH also donated baby club foot assistive devices, drill sets, and CV devices to Dr. Richard and Dr. Elizabeth for further application at PMGH.(Video1)(Video2)

Innovative Technology on Cancer Precision Screening Workshop

The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand (TECO), and Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) are following the health concerns issues of Taiwanese businessmen in Thailand to co-host the online health awareness seminar on July 12th, 2022. We invited Ms. Chi-Chuan Peng, the owner of LinBerg Co. Ltd., and Dr. Shun-Chang Chang, the Chinese Medicine Department of CCH, as speakers to share the topics of “how to choose a good and healthy oil” and “how to use Chinese medicine to boost and improve immunity.Deputy Minister Chia-Ching Hsu of OCAC and Acting Division Director Mr. Chao-Feng Chen of Expatriate Division, TECO in Thailand, are invited to deliver remarks. Many representatives of Taiwan-Thailand Businessman Associations from different regions shared their feedback. Around 70 participants join the online seminar. (Click the Link)

On July 8th, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre (MIRDC) co-organized the “Innovative Technology on Cancer Precision Screening” workshop, which was sponsored by the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry (IDB) of Economic Affairs. At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Guan-Min Lai, Director of Hematology & Oncology Department, CCH, shared the experiences of CCH adopting innovative precision medicine in cancer, followed by five excellent precision medicine companies presenting the feature of their products. The five cancer precision screening device companies, including AmCad BioMed Corporation, VITAE Biomedical Co., Ltd., Good Future BioMed. Inc., JelloX Biotech Inc., and Molsentech Co., Ltd. Through the presentation and on-site demonstration, over 70 participants interacted and exchanged experiences for each other.(Video1)(Video2)

On May 30th, 2022, Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University of Thailand, cohost the online seminars on "Prenatal and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis" session 2. Mr. Wei-Ming Hsu, Acting Representative of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, Asst. Prof. Adithep Jaovisidha, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand, and Dr. Nina Kao, CEO of Overseas Medical Mission Center of CCH, were invited to give opening remarks. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Meng-Shin Shiao, Assistant Dean for International Relations, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand. Three speakers including Dr. Tuangsit Wataganara, Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Thailand, Dr. Chonthicha Satirapot, Associate Professor of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital of Thailand, and Dr. Ming Chen, Chief Medical Director of Genomic Medicine Department of CCH, shared the non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic (PGT-M) and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) as well as successful clinical cases. MOU Signing Ceremony for Specialist Training between CCH and UPNG

On April 27th,2022, CCH, CHT, and imedtech cohost the online Seminar on "How to improve medication safety in hospitals and pharmacies?". The webinar shared that automated dispensing cabinets combined with AIoT technology assist hospitals and pharmacies in managing medicines safely and effectively, improving work efficiency, and achieving the goals for medication safety management such as information safety, medicine safety, etc.(Click the Link)

On March 18th, the MOU Signing Ceremony for Specialist Training between Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and the University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) was held on 18th March. Through specialist training, academic cooperation, and medical education, it is hoped that CCH and UPNG will jointly cultivate medical professionals in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and improve their medical expertise, health care quality, and patient safety. The MOU was signed by Dr. Mu-Kuan Chen, the Superintendent of CCH, and Mr. Tommy Kambu Kunji, the Representative of Papua New Guinea Trade Office in Taiwan. In addition, Dr. Nakapi Tefuarani, the Executive Dean of the School of Medicine & Health Science, University of Papua New Guinea and Amb. Oliver Liao, the Representative of The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Papua New Guinea, signed the MOU online, hoping that the medical cooperation and academic exchanges between Taiwan and PNG will be further improved in the near future.(Click the Link)

On February 10th, 2022, the Division of Nursing, MOPH in Thailand, hosted the “Customer-Centric Services: Selected Overseas Experience” workshop. Dr. Chang Shu-chen, the Nursing Director of CCH, was invited to join this young nurse development program workshop and share the experience in “The Best Practice - Nursing Innovations to Make Life Better.“ Over 100 Thailand young nurses participant in this workshop.(Click the Link)
