CCH Successfully Concludes Six-Week Clinical Pharmacy Internship Program for Thailand Walailak University Students
From June 8 to July 17, 2026, two pharmacy students from Walailak University, Thailand—Ms. Chanatinat Thongthae and Ms. Sasikarn Naksuwan—completed a six-week clinical pharmacy internship at Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Yuanlin Christian Hospital.
The internship covered a broad range of clinical pharmacy training, including chemotherapy preparation, aseptic compounding, medication management, medication safety, oncology pharmaceutical care, patient education, integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and observational learning in pediatric oncology and palliative care.
Throughout the program, both students demonstrated strong enthusiasm and professionalism. They actively participated in case discussions and patient education while gaining valuable insights into the roles of Taiwanese pharmacists in clinical care, patient communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
On July 17, the students concluded the program by sharing their learning experiences, future career plans, and cultural experiences in Taiwan. Preceptor pharmacists commended their outstanding performance and professional potential.
The Department of Pharmacy presented certificates of completion, hoping they will apply their knowledge to benefit patients in Thailand and continue strengthening international pharmacy collaboration.
