Internship Reflection Presentation by Two Pharmacy Students from Walailak University, Thailand

From June 9 to July 18, 2025, two pharmacy students from Walailak University in Thailand, Mr. Techit Piriyapol and Ms. Phichamon Chinnawong, completed a six-week clinical pharmacy internship at Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) and Yuanlin Christian Hospital (YCH). The internship program covered a wide range of topics, including chemotherapy drug compounding, aseptic techniques, hazardous drug handling, medication safety assessments, outpatient counseling, pharmaceutical logistics and supply systems, as well as observational training in renal care and palliative care. The program was rich in content and emphasized practical clinical experience. During the internship, both students demonstrated great enthusiasm and initiative. They actively participated in case discussions and patient education design, and gained valuable insights into the professional roles of Taiwanese pharmacists in clinical care, patient communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration. On July 18, the two students completed all internship training and held a reflection presentation to share their learning experiences, future applications of acquired knowledge, and cultural observations from their time in Taiwan. Supervising pharmacists from each training unit attended the session, offering positive feedback and recognizing the students' excellent performance and professional potential. At the end of the session, the Director of the Department of Pharmacy presented internship completion certificates to the students, encouraging them to continue advancing their professional knowledge, apply what they have learned in their home country to benefit more patients, and become a bridge for international pharmacy exchange.
