Welcoming Taiwan ICDF Workshop on AI in Smart Healthcare Delegation to Yuanlin Christian Hospital
On June 11, 2025, Yuanlin Christian Hospital had the honor of hosting 24 international participants and 6 staff members from the “Workshop on AI in Smart Healthcare” organized by the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF). To align with the delegation’s interests, Dr. Jeff Huang, Assistant Data Scientist at the AI Development Center, was invited to share the latest developments and clinical applications of artificial intelligence at Changhua Christian Hospital. Dr. Kwo-Wei Lee, Superintendent of Yuanlin Christian Hospital, also introduced the hospital’s design and operational philosophy, which emphasizes sustainability through green architecture, energy efficiency, smart systems, and long-term viability. The keynote presentations were followed by a lively Q&A session, with delegates actively engaging and expressing high praise for the hospital’s achievements in smart healthcare and AI innovation. The visit continued with a guided tour of several key smart healthcare facilities, including the intelligent vital signs-measuring kiosk, automated tubing system, and the light rail transport system exclusively used in the dental outpatient clinic, offering participants a deeper and more tangible understanding of YCH’s smart hospital infrastructure. The delegation members hailed from 20 countries across Asia (Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Oman), Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Republic of Tunisia), Latin America and the Caribbean (Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Saint Kitts and Nevis), and Europe (Albania, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland), making this a truly enriching and inspiring international exchange in smart healthcare.
