CCH Medical Mission Joins with Thailand’s Overbrook Hospital to Bring Love to Northern Thai Communities!

The medical mission team from Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) once again partnered with the medical team of Overbrook Hospital (OBH) in Chiang Rai, Thailand. From November 23 to 29, 2025, the team traveled deep into four remote border communities in Northern Thailand, delivering essential medical services to those who need them most. Over four days, the mission provided free consultations to nearly 2,300 patients! The CCH medical mission—led by Dr. Nina Kao, CEO of the Overseas Medical Mission Center—included specialists in otolaryngology, dentistry, orthopedics, neurosurgery, traditional Chinese medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology. In addition, Ms. Wu Ling-Ying, the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s representative stationed in Malaysia, traveled from Malaysia to Northern Thailand to join the healthcare service team. Beyond clinical services at rural health centers, the team also visited nearby schools to conduct health-promotion activities such as hand-washing and tooth-brushing education, improving children’s health literacy. Stationery and toys collected through donations were personally delivered to students—bringing both health knowledge and heartfelt encouragement to children in remote Northern Thai communities. On the final day, the team visited Overbrook Hospital and its historical exhibition hall. The OBH President personally shared the hospital’s future direction and vision for healthcare development. This exchange deepened the mutual understanding of CCH and OBH’s shared mission and goals, laying a strong foundation for continued collaboration and partnership in the years ahead. (Click the link)

CCH invited 20 senior executives from partner organizations—including Saint Louis College of Thailand, the Nursing Division of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, Bangkok Christian Hospital, Thonburi Hospital, Samitivej Hospital, Tzu Chi Foundation Thailand, as well as the Central Provincial Health Authority and the National Capital District Provincial Health Authority of Papua New Guinea—to visit Taiwan from December 1 to 6 for a six-day professional learning and exchange program. The delegation also participated in the 2025 Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo as part of the visit. The itinerary was rich and comprehensive, featuring to learn CCH’s Smart Nursing Stations, Big Data Center, and AI Development Center, along with participation in an AI training workshop. The delegates also visited Yuanlin Christian Hospital to learn about the implementation of the Smart Medical Management System, gaining deeper insight into CCH’s smart healthcare achievements and international collaboration experiences. In addition, through their participation in the 2025 Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo, the group experienced CCH’s innovative medical products and clinical applications showcased at the "Experience Pavilion," while also engaging with leading medical and technology companies to explore emerging trends and potential future partnerships.(Click the link)

From 2018 to 2025, Changhua Christian Hospital responded to the Thai medical industry cooperation program through in-bond and out-bound activities to facilitate the relations between Taiwan and Thailand. CCH cooperated comprehensively with Thailand, including medical personnel training, medical industries forum, health awareness seminars, signing MOU with hospitals, public and private sectors, smart healthcare conference and business matching, smart healthcare demo-site, etc.(English)( Chinese)

From June 30 to July 4, 2025, members of the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM) Nursing Chapter visited Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH) for a learning journey focused on smart healthcare and nursing information system management. The delegation comprised senior executives and experienced nursing professionals from various private hospitals in Malaysia.The CCH nursing team kicked off the program with a presentation on the “Development and Application of Nursing Information Systems,” showcasing how digitalization enhances clinical efficiency and care quality. The delegation also visited innovative facilities, including the Smart Nursing Station and the Breastmilk Closed-loop Management System, and toured Yuanlin Christian Hospital to observe the practical implementation of innovative and environmentally friendly hospital concepts. The itinerary also included an in-depth visit to imedtac, a leading smart healthcare company, to explore integrated innovation solutions. Additionally, the delegation engaged in a meaningful exchange with the Taiwan Nurses Association, discussing nursing recruitment, digital transformation, leadership development, and the potential for bilateral collaboration. Yushan Forum | Ministry of Health and Welfare

From June 3rd to 7th, 2025, Changhua Christian Hospital had the honor of hosting four senior healthcare leaders from Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. The delegation included Dr. Harry, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Divine Word University; Prof. Kuzma, Head of the Department of Medicine; Dr. Jimmy, Medical Director; and Mrs. Susan, an infection control nursing specialist from the Madang Provincial Health Authority. Their visit featured tours of the smart hospital systems at Changhua and Yuanlin Christian Hospitals, highlighting the integration of AI and digital technologies in clinical care and nursing operations. The delegation also visited Hungkuang University and Fu Jen Catholic University to explore potential collaborations in faculty and student exchange programs. In addition, they attended the 2025 Medical Taiwan International Expo to experience cutting-edge smart healthcare devices, engage with Taiwanese healthcare companies, and explore partnership opportunities.
