Experts from PNG, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia were invited to participate in the International Symposium on Betel Quid Related Oral Cancer hosted by CCH
On October 13, 2024, CCH held an international seminar on betel quid-related oral cancer and invited domestic and overseas professionals to share their experiences. The seminar started with an opening remark and keynote speech by Superintendent Dr. Mu Kuan Chen to share the research on oral cancer caused by betel quid as well as early detection, treatment, and prevention. The seminar also invited Dr. Charles Paki, Molumi, CEO of Port Mosby Hospital in PNG, Professor Hemantha Kumara Amarasinghe from Sri Lanka Dental Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and Professor Wanninayake Mudiyanselage Tilakaratne, the University of Malaya, came to Taiwan to share their experiences. The seminar attracted around 150 participants to join.
