2020 Global NGO Forum on International Development

Staff of Overseas Medical Mission Center, OMMC, participated in the “2020 Global NGO Forum on International Development”, jointly sponsored by Taiwan Alliance in International Development, TaiwanAID and Institute for National Policy Research, INPR, from October 5^th to 6^th in Taipei and gained fruitful results. With the theme of “Inclusive Partnership between Government and Civil Society in International Development”, the virtual conference invited 37 INGO leaders and 16 Taiwanese counterparts, who made presentations on a wide range of topics. OMMC Executive Director Dr. Nina Kao moderated the panel discussion on “Challenge and Opportunity in Government-Civil Society Partnership” session.

Speakers and audience share experiences and exchange views on strengthening partnerships between governments and CSOs so as to achieve United Nations 2030 SDGs. Dr. Chien-Jen Chen, the Former Vice Present of R.O.C. (Taiwan) also shared Taiwan's successful experience on fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
